CM Yogi Adityanath News: Preparations are in full swing for the Gadhmukteshwar Fair 2025, one of the most significant religious gatherings in western Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited the fairground to review arrangements and directed officials to ensure top-notch safety, cleanliness, and crowd management. He announced that this year’s event will be celebrated as a “Mini Kumbh”, reflecting the state government’s commitment to enhancing the scale and spiritual essence of the fair.
Gadhmukteshwar Fair 2025 Dates and Scale
The Gadhmukteshwar Mela will be held from October 30 to November 5, 2025. Every year, millions of devotees gather at the banks of the Ganga River to take a holy dip on the occasion of Kartik Purnima.
This year, officials are expecting a turnout of 40 to 45 lakh (4–4.5 million) pilgrims. Considering the massive gathering, CM Yogi Adityanath has ordered timely completion of all preparations, deployment of NDRF and SDRF teams, installation of CCTV cameras, and arrangement of rescue boats for safety and emergency response.
Focus on Cleanliness and Environment
CM Yogi Adityanath emphasized that the Gadhmukteshwar Mela represents devotion, discipline, and cleanliness. He instructed authorities to maintain a plastic-free environment, ensure proper waste collection, and keep Ganga ghats clean and pollution-free throughout the event.
He said, “This fair is not only a religious event but also a symbol of our cultural identity. The government’s priority is to provide devotees with a clean, safe, and spiritually enriching experience.”

Cultural and Spiritual Extravaganza
Apart from the holy dip and religious rituals, the fair will feature Raslila, Krishnalila, and folk music performances, highlighting the rich cultural heritage of Uttar Pradesh. The ghats of Gadhmukteshwar will be illuminated with millions of diyas (lamps) on Kartik Purnima night, creating a mesmerizing view of devotion and light.
During his visit, CM Yogi Adityanath also performed Ganga Aarti, offered prayers, and inspected arrangements at the Sadar Bazaar area, ensuring smooth movement for pilgrims and traders alike.

The Gadhmukteshwar Fair is one of the oldest and most revered fairs in North India, symbolizing the unity of faith, culture, and tradition.
