Strict Action to Strengthen Law & Order and Curb Drug Abuse: CM Dr. Mohan Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has directed officials to ensure effective law and order across the division and to take strict action against drug abuse through sustained campaigns. He instructed authorities to take firm measures against habitual offenders, prepare lists of criminals, and maintain close surveillance on them. CM Dr. Yadav emphasised that negligence in matters related to narcotics will not be tolerated and instructed that, similar to Jabalpur and Narsinghpur, other districts should also intensify their campaigns. He asked Superintendents of Police to maintain firm control in their jurisdictions and ensure that incidents like the one in Seoni are not repeated.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav addressed a meeting of divisional, district and police administration officials in Jabalpur on Sunday. He directed officials to ensure that patients are taken to government hospitals for treatment, noting that some ambulance drivers divert cases to private hospitals, which should be strictly monitored. He encouraged officials to foster public participation by collaborating with social workers and public representatives and to conduct night stays in villages to strengthen community engagement. He also instructed authorities to take action against illegal liquor sales at roadside eateries along highways and to ensure that civil conduct is maintained in all areas.
CM Dr. Mohan Yadav directed Collectors to personally attend public hearings and ensure the timely resolution of applications. He emphasised working according to constituency-wise vision documents, proper documentation of district-level initiatives, and the promotion of adventure and employment-oriented activities. The Chief Minister reiterated that ‘Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh’ is an integral part of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’, and urged for efforts to promote social harmony and development-oriented discussions.

CM Dr. Mohan Yadav highlighted upcoming significant dates, October 31 (Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Jayanti), November 1 (Madhya Pradesh Foundation Day) and November 15 (Bhagwan Birsa Munda Jayanti). He directed that development-focused programs be organised on these occasions. He appealed for engaging youth in the ‘Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh’ campaign and promoting sports activities.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav instructed officials to keep a close watch on the implementation of the Bhavantar Scheme and take effective action against banned drugs and cattle smuggling. He also directed confiscation of properties acquired through criminal means, strict enforcement of eviction orders, and decisive action against land mafias. He urged the creation of development committees at the district level and encouraged the identification and promotion of local talent.
The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary Shri Sanjay Dubey, ADG, Commissioner Shri Dhananjay Singh, IGs and DIGs of Jabalpur and Balaghat, Collectors, Superintendents of Police, DFOs, CEOs of District Panchayats, and divisional officers. Commissioner Shri Singh presented key priority areas, including agriculture, procurement of soybean, paddy & kodo-kutki, fertilizer distribution, take-home ration, industrial investment, innovations in revenue management, and maternal and child welfare.
IG Shri Pramod Verma gave a presentation on law and order and crime control in the division, while the Balaghat IG provided details of ongoing anti-Naxal operations. Collectors of Jabalpur and Balaghat presented updates on district development works and key government priorities.
