Delhi News: The Delhi government has expressed serious concern over delays in submitting files related to court cases and vigilance investigations. CM Rekha Gupta has issued a stern warning to all officials, instructing them to submit reports within the stipulated timeframe or face disciplinary action.
During a recent high-level review meeting, it was highlighted that several investigation reports are not being prepared on time, causing difficulties for the government in responding to court proceedings. Officials were clearly warned that such negligence will not be tolerated in the future, and accountability will be strictly enforced.
Pending Investigation Reports
It was revealed in the meeting that the residential complex built for judicial officers in Rohini was demolished about a year ago, following which vigilance investigation orders were issued. However, the report determining which officer or agency was responsible for the demolition has still not been completed.

Similarly, the investigation report regarding payments made to a private company for the Barapulla Phase-3 Elevated Corridor project is also still pending.
Strict Deadlines for Court Files
The Delhi government has issued clear instructions that all reports related to court and vigilance matters must be submitted within the specified deadlines. Departments handling court cases must ensure that files are sent well in advance. A new rule mandates that all files related to court cases must be submitted to the Law Department at least one week before the scheduled date, allowing sufficient time for legal review.
Accountability for Negligence
The government has emphasized that any official showing negligence in the future will be held accountable, and disciplinary action may be taken. This move is being seen as a significant step towards strengthening transparency and accountability in the Delhi government.
