Punjab Government launched the Pensioner Seva Portal for 3.15 lakh pensioners.
The Punjab Government has given a major gift to its 3.15 lakh pensioners by launching the ‘Pensioner Seva Portal’, aimed at simplifying and digitizing the pension-related process. Along with this, the government has also introduced dedicated helpline numbers to make the system more accessible and transparent.
Pension Services Now Available at Home
Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema launched the Pensioner Seva Portal, providing great relief to retired employees who have served the government for years. He said that this facility will make the pension process completely online, transparent, and hassle-free for pensioners.
Under this initiative, pensioners will now be able to —
-
Submit their Life Certificate (Jeevan Pramaan Patra) online
-
Apply for family pension
-
Register complaints or update personal profiles
— all from the comfort of their homes.
Simple Registration via Aadhaar KYC
Pensioners can easily register on the portal using Aadhaar-based KYC verification through their mobile phones or computers. For those who find digital processes challenging, Service Centres have also been set up where assistance will be provided to senior citizens and retired employees.

Dedicated Helpline Numbers for Pensioners
To support the pensioners, the Punjab Government has also established a Control Room and issued helpline numbers — 1800-180-2148 and 0172-2996385.
These helplines will remain active at both Directorate and District Offices to resolve any pension-related queries promptly.
No More Long Queues at Banks
Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema said that pensioners will no longer need to stand in long queues at banks or offices to submit their life certificates. The portal allows even sick and elderly pensioners to upload their certificates online from home. NRI pensioners can also submit their certificates manually, ensuring that no one is left behind.
Transparent and Pensioner-Friendly System
Cheema added that this initiative will make the pension disbursal system transparent, convenient, and pensioner-centric. He emphasized that the government is committed to using technology to simplify citizen services and ensure that no pensioner faces unnecessary hardship.
This move is part of Punjab’s larger vision of “Digital Punjab”, promoting e-governance and efficiency in public administration.
