Rudrapur News: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended a commemorative event organised on the 47th death anniversary of freedom fighter Pandit Ram Sumer Shukla at Pandit Ram Sumer Shukla Medical College in Rudrapur. During the ceremony, CM Dhami paid floral tributes and unveiled the memorial plaque dedicated to the freedom fighter’s life and contributions.

CM Dhami highlights government achievements
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reiterated the government’s commitment to progress and good governance. He stated that Uttarakhand is the first state to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) and has introduced strong laws against forced religious conversions, paper leaks, love jihad, and land jihad.
CM Dhami added that major development works—including AIIMS in Kumaon, Jamrani Dam project, International Airport at Pantnagar, Mini ISBT Kichha, Industrial Smart City, and the Rudrapur Bypass—are progressing rapidly. He also emphasized that the government has provided the highest number of government jobs within four years of the state’s formation.
The programme concluded with a renewed commitment to honouring the legacy of Pandit Ram Sumer Shukla while advancing Uttarakhand’s development vision.
