Speaking at the ‘Mahaparinirvaan Diwas’ event in Lucknow, the CM said the government would construct protective boundary walls around Ambedkar statues to prevent vandalism and ensure their dignity is maintained.
“Wherever statues of B.R. Ambedkar are installed in Uttar Pradesh, some mischievous elements often attempt to damage them. He further added that in cases where statues do not have a canopy or roof, protective covers will be installed to maintain their safety and respect.
The Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also addressed the issue of connectivity in marginalized communities. He assured that every slum, Dalit settlement, Scheduled Caste settlement, and tribal settlement in the state will have proper infrastructure and connectivity. “Even if some areas remain unconnected despite prior efforts by the Rural Development and Urban Development Departments, we will ensure that they are fully connected,” he said.
