CM Yogi Adityanath inspects Gorakhpur–Pipraich four-lane road, directs officials to ensure quality construction & timely completion for public use.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath conducted an on-site inspection of the under-construction Gorakhpur–Pipraich four-lane road and directed officials to accelerate the work while strictly maintaining construction quality. The Chief Minister emphasized that the project must be completed within the stipulated timeline so that it can be dedicated to the public without delays.
During the visit, CM Yogi Adityanath also reviewed the progress of the Khajanchi Chauraha flyover and the Jungle Kaudia–Jagdishpur Ring Road. He interacted with officials, examined project layouts and engineering drawings, and assessed the pace of ongoing work to ensure smooth execution.
₹942 Crore Highway Project to Improve Regional Connectivity
The Gorakhpur–Pipraich four-lane road is a major infrastructure initiative with a total length of approximately 19.48 kilometers and an estimated cost of ₹942.44 crore. The project is being executed by the Public Works Department’s Construction Division-3 and began on February 11, 2025. The targeted completion date has been set for August 31, 2026.
The Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath made it clear that there should be no compromise on construction standards. He instructed engineers to monitor drainage and water-level alignment carefully so that waterlogging issues do not arise in the future. According to officials, timely delivery of the project will significantly improve traffic flow, reduce congestion, and strengthen road connectivity in the Gorakhpur region.

Ring Road Work to Be Fast-Tracked
While reviewing the four-lane highway, CM Yogi Adityanath also inspected the nearby Jungle Kaudia–Jagdishpur Ring Road project. He asked the concerned departments to increase the speed of construction and complete the ring road by September. Special attention was given to the width of the Bishunpur underpass to ensure that it remains safe and convenient for daily commuters.
The Chief Minister stressed that public convenience and safety must remain the top priority in all infrastructure projects.
Khajanchi Chauraha Flyover Near Completion
As part of the inspection drive, CM Yogi Adityanath visited the Khajanchi Chauraha flyover, being constructed at a cost of ₹96.50 crore. Officials informed him that more than 99 percent of the construction work has already been completed and only minor finishing tasks remain, which are expected to be finished within a few days.
The Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath instructed the executing agency to complete the remaining work at the earliest and open the flyover for public use to ease traffic congestion in the area.
Senior Leaders Present During Inspection
Several senior leaders and local representatives were present during the inspection, including Mayor Dr. Manglesh Srivastava, MLAs Mahendra Pal Singh and Vipin Singh, MLC and BJP State Vice President Dr. Dharmendra Singh, and District President Janardan Tiwari.
The inspection reflects the state government’s continued focus on strengthening infrastructure, improving urban mobility, and ensuring timely delivery of public projects across Uttar Pradesh.
