BJP MLAs’ absenteeism angers CM Bhajanlal Sharma as he directs ministers to be confident and aggressive during the Budget Session.
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma expressed strong displeasure over the absence of several BJP MLAs during a crucial legislative meeting held ahead of the Budget Session. The meeting, conducted in the ‘Yes’ lobby of the Assembly on Tuesday, focused on evaluating ministers’ performance, their preparedness for questions, and strategies to counter opposition challenges.
During the session, CM Sharma emphasized that the government has delivered significant results across all departments over the past two years and that ministers and legislators must present these achievements confidently in the House. He reminded the members that the Budget Session is critical for the government, and active participation from every MLA is essential.

Strict Instructions to Ministers
The Chief Minister also issued clear directives to ministers to adopt an aggressive and confident approach during the House proceedings. He stressed that responses to opposition questions must be fact-based and data-supported. CM Sharma highlighted that, on previous occasions, some ministers appeared underprepared, giving the opposition opportunities to dominate discussions and create a negative impression of the government.
Ministers were instructed to strengthen departmental coordination, prepare thoroughly for all questions, and effectively present the government’s developmental achievements. CM Sharma urged all legislators and ministers to stand united against the opposition’s attempts to challenge and criticize government policies.
Targeting the Opposition
The CM also pointed out that the Congress party is facing internal conflicts, making it an opportune moment for the BJP to highlight its governance achievements. He reiterated that the state’s political environment favors the BJP, and the party must leverage this during the Budget Session by presenting facts, statistics, and development outcomes.
CM Sharma concluded the meeting with a firm message: laxity during the Budget Session will not be tolerated, and all legislators are expected to maintain consistent attendance while articulating the government’s accomplishments effectively.
