In a public statement, Saurabh Bhardwaj said, “This time, CM Rekha Gupta’s actions have directly insulted the faith of millions of Hindus. Fraud during a religious occasion, especially Durga Ashtami, is unacceptable and deeply hurtful to the devotees.”
Bhardwaj emphasized that such acts, if true, not only undermine public trust in political leaders but also hurt the cultural and spiritual fabric of the nation. “Religious festivals are moments of faith and devotion. Any misconduct associated with them cannot be ignored,” he added.

He called for an immediate investigation into the alleged fraud and urged authorities to take strict action to restore faith among devotees. Bhardwaj further demanded that political leaders maintain moral responsibility, particularly during significant religious celebrations.
“The sanctity of Durga Ashtami must be preserved, and no individual, regardless of position, should misuse public trust or sacred occasions for personal gain,” Saurabh Bhardwaj said. He stressed that protecting religious sentiments is paramount and must be treated with the utmost seriousness.
