AAP Punjab leader Baltej Pannu alleges pressure politics in BJP joinings during Chandigarh press conference, raises serious political and security questions.
In a press conference held in Chandigarh, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab General Secretary and Media Incharge Baltej Pannu made several serious allegations regarding recent political developments in Punjab.
Baltej Pannu claimed that “pressure and influence tactics” are being used to facilitate political joinings into the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Punjab. He stated that he has evidence related to the political activities being carried out under the leadership of Punjab BJP president Sunil Jakhar.
Allegations on political figures and party switches
During the press interaction, Baltej Pannu referred to businessman Ashok Kumar Mittal of Lovely University and Gaurav Vadhwa, who recently joined the BJP. He alleged that such political transitions are not entirely voluntary and require closer scrutiny.

Pannu also questioned Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu over past statements and demanded clarification on several historical and political issues.
Questions raised on national security cases
The AAP leader further raised concerns regarding unresolved matters linked to major incidents such as Pulwama and Pathankot. He questioned why investigations into these incidents have not been made fully transparent.
Pannu stated that repeated political references to old cases are being used for political gain while ignoring accountability.
Remarks on Chief Minister and political accountability
He also defended Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and said that political remarks made against him should be backed by facts. According to Pannu, misinformation in political discourse is harmful and must be avoided.
