The Punjab Government has reaffirmed its commitment to addressing the concerns of the global Punjabi community by announcing a dedicated online interaction with Non-Resident Indians (NRIs). Cabinet Minister Ravjot Singh is scheduled to conduct an online NRI meeting on July 8, providing overseas Punjabis with a platform to directly raise their issues and concerns.
The initiative reflects the Bhagwant Mann-led government’s focus on strengthening its engagement with Punjabis living abroad and ensuring that their grievances are resolved in a timely and transparent manner. During the virtual meeting, participants will have the opportunity to discuss matters related to administration, public services, property disputes, documentation, and other issues affecting the NRI community.

According to Minister Ravjot Singh, the government considers overseas Punjabis an important part of Punjab’s social and economic development. Officials from relevant government departments are expected to monitor the proceedings, and necessary directions will be issued on the spot wherever possible to expedite the resolution process. The move is aimed at reducing delays and ensuring that NRI grievances receive prompt attention.
The online interaction is also expected to strengthen the relationship between the Punjab Government and the Punjabi diaspora spread across different countries. By creating a direct communication channel, the government hopes to improve transparency, accountability, and service delivery for overseas Punjabis.
