AAP PAC Meeting focuses on Punjab, Goa and Gujarat election preparations, with Manish Sisodia discussing poll strategy, UPI and Delhi voter roll allegations.
The newly constituted Political Affairs Committee (PAC) of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) held its first meeting on Thursday under the leadership of party National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal at his residence. The AAP PAC Meeting focused primarily on preparations for the upcoming elections in Punjab, Goa and Gujarat, according to senior AAP leader and Punjab in-charge Manish Sisodia.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema, who have been inducted as new members of the PAC, also attended the meeting. Sisodia said the committee discussed the party’s organisational preparations and electoral strategy in the three states.
AAP PAC Meeting Discusses Punjab, Goa and Gujarat Elections
During the AAP PAC Meeting, Sisodia said the committee discussed the upcoming elections in Punjab, Goa and Gujarat in detail. He claimed that people in Punjab were satisfied with the work of the Bhagwant Mann government and wanted to see the AAP government return.
On Goa and Gujarat, Sisodia claimed that voters were seeking political change. He said the PAC discussed how the party could translate what he described as public sentiment into electoral gains. These assessments were presented by Sisodia as AAP’s political view and were not cited as independent polling findings.

Baran Result Also Discussed
The AAP PAC Meeting also discussed the recent result in Baran, Rajasthan. Sisodia described the outcome as unexpected and said it indicated, in his interpretation, that voters could consider alternatives when presented with one.
He also announced that Arvind Kejriwal, Bhagwant Mann and he would visit Baran and hold a roadshow there soon. AAP has separately highlighted its performance in recent local elections in Rajasthan.
UPI Issue Comes Up in PAC Discussion
Another issue discussed during the AAP PAC Meeting was the ongoing debate around UPI-related charges and the future of digital payments.
Sisodia alleged that a decision concerning UPI had been taken under pressure from US President Donald Trump and claimed that ordinary users could eventually face additional costs. He further alleged that US companies would receive a major share of the benefit.
These statements represent Sisodia’s allegations and political position. The AAP said the issue would be raised by the party and its organisational units.
Sisodia Raises Allegations Over Delhi Voter Rolls
The PAC meeting also discussed allegations concerning voter additions and deletions in Delhi’s New Delhi Assembly constituency during the previous Assembly election.
Sisodia alleged that unusually large numbers of votes had been added to some households before the election and claimed that subsequent Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercises removed such entries. He further claimed that a portion of the deleted entries were found to be fake.
The allegations were made by Sisodia during his briefing after the meeting. The claims about the creation of fake votes and the role of the Election Commission were not independently established in the AAP statement itself.
AAP Says Punjab Poll Preparations Are Underway
Speaking about the Punjab elections, Sisodia said the party was fully prepared and claimed that the Bhagwant Mann government’s work had generated public support for another AAP term.
He also criticised traditional political parties, alleging that a change in government could lead to a return of problems related to drugs, misuse of public funds, employment-related corruption and difficulties for traders. These remarks were part of AAP’s political messaging ahead of the elections.
New PAC Formed After National Council and Executive Meetings
The formation of the new PAC followed AAP’s National Council and National Executive meetings. Arvind Kejriwal was appointed as the PAC convenor, while several new members were inducted into the committee. AAP’s National Council had also re-elected Kejriwal as the party’s National Convenor and constituted a new 23-member National Executive earlier in September.
The latest AAP PAC Meeting therefore brought together senior leaders to discuss the party’s organisational and electoral preparations, with Punjab, Goa and Gujarat emerging as the key focus areas alongside issues such as UPI and voter-roll allegations.
