CM Bhajan Lal Sharma has granted disciplinary action and prosecution sanction against the officers of the state service. He cleared action against a total of 21 officers while disposing of 18 pending cases.
Under the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018, prosecution sanction was issued in 5 cases, while prior sanction for detailed investigation into allegations of corruption against 4 officials was granted to the Anti-Corruption Bureau. Resolving old cases involving retired officers, 4 officers were penalized for withholding pension, out of which in 2 cases it was decided to withhold entire pension.
Further, various allegations were found to be substantiated in 5 cases against 7 serving officers, due to which it was decided to withhold their annual increment. At the same time, in 2 cases, the investigation findings against retired officers were approved.
