Australia’s batting unit will be particularly keen to improve after struggling in the opening game. Renshaw’s inclusion gives the team another opportunity to strengthen the top order, while Marnus Labuschagne will also be looking for a significant contribution after making 1 and 31 in Darwin.

Renshaw Gets Another Test Opportunity

Renshaw has played 14 Tests for Australia and now gets another chance to establish himself in the national side. His return is especially significant because the Mackay Test will be played at a venue making its men’s Test debut. Renshaw has already scored two first-class centuries at the northern Queensland ground, adding another interesting angle to his selection.
