Awarapan 2 trailer: Emraan Hashmi returns as Shivam Pandit with revenge, action and emotion. The film also stars Disha Patani and Shabana Azmi.
Awarapan 2 Trailer: Emraan Hashmi is back as Shivam Pandit after nearly two decades, and the first trailer of Awarapan 2 promises a darker and more intense chapter. Released on August 6, the Awarapan 2 Trailer brings back the emotional world associated with the original film while introducing a new conflict filled with revenge, violence and redemption.
The sequel arrives 19 years after the first Awarapan, which released in 2007 and became one of Emraan Hashmi’s memorable films. While the Awarapan 2 Trailer offers several striking glimpses of Shivam’s new journey, it deliberately keeps the central storyline under wraps.
Emraan Hashmi Returns as Shivam Pandit
In Awarapan 2, Emraan Hashmi reprises his role as Shivam Pandit. The character appears to be carrying the emotional scars of his past, particularly the loss of Aaliyah, played by Shriya Saran in the original film.
This time, Shivam seems to be driven by a combination of revenge and redemption. The Awarapan 2 Trailer presents him as someone who has endured immense suffering but remains determined to complete a mission that appears deeply personal.
Hashmi’s return to the character is one of the biggest highlights of the Awarapan 2 Trailer. His intense expressions, rugged appearance and action sequences give Shivam a more battle-hardened personality.
Shabana Azmi’s Nafisa Adds to the Threat
The Awarapan 2 Trailer begins with a visually intense sequence in which Shivam is seen hanging in heavy rain with a rod apparently piercing his chest. The scene immediately establishes the brutal tone of the sequel.
Shabana Azmi then makes a striking entry as Nafisa, who appears to be one of the key antagonistic forces in Shivam’s new battle. Her character’s threatening presence suggests that Shivam will have to face some formidable opponents.
The Awarapan 2 Trailer introduces several other characters who appear connected to the conflict, including Puran Gabbi as Zorawar, Anirudh Rawal as Sikandar, Surendar Vicky as Jaideep, Vijayant Kohli as Mehmood and Atul Kumar as Samarth.
Disha Patani Brings a New Emotional Angle
Disha Patani joins the franchise as Zara. While the trailer does not reveal much about her character, her scenes with Shivam suggest that she could have an important emotional role in the story.
However, the makers have carefully avoided explaining how Zara becomes connected to Shivam or how her presence affects his mission. That mystery could be one of the film’s major narrative elements.

Awarapan 2 Trailer Keeps the Story Under Wraps
Despite its action-packed presentation, the Awarapan 2 trailer does not reveal the complete storyline. Instead, viewers get flashes of brutal confrontations, wounded characters, intense face-offs and Shivam’s journey through dangerous circumstances.
One particularly interesting sequence shows Shivam among monks, who appear to be helping him recover from his injuries. He is later seen walking alongside them before the trailer returns to its action-heavy world.
The trailer concludes with a threatening warning from Shivam, leaving the exact nature of his mission unclear. For fans expecting a clear story outline, the trailer may feel deliberately cryptic.
Music Remains Important to Awarapan 2
Music was one of the strongest elements of the original Awarapan, and the sequel appears to be continuing that tradition.
The soundtrack features composers including Mithoon, Jeet Gannguli, Amaal Malik, Ankit Sachdev and Wasif Ahmad. Lyricists associated with the album include Sayeed Qadri, Rashmi Virag, Akhil Sachdeva and Sachin Singh Chandel.
Tracks such as Ve Junoon, Yeh Awarapan and Toh Phir Aao have already generated interest among fans. The trailer also uses Tera Mera Rishta, composed by Mithoon and performed by Saaj Bhatt and Subodhh Sharma, adding an emotional layer to the intense visuals.
Awarapan 2 Gets U/A 16+ Certificate
The film has also received certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The movie was certified with a U/A 16+ rating after certain modifications were requested.
According to the certification details, the final version has a runtime of approximately 2 hours, 20 minutes and 20 seconds. Around four minutes of footage were removed, while additional replacement footage was also incorporated before certification on August 5.
