In a significant political development in Punjab, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has suffered another setback after former Sri Hargobindpur MLA and senior BJP leader Balwinder Singh Ladi joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) along with his associates.
The induction took place in the presence of senior AAP leader and Punjab in-charge Manish Sisodia, Punjab AAP President Aman Arora, and Punjab Cabinet Minister Hardip Singh Mundian, who welcomed the new members into the party.
Speaking on the occasion, Balwinder Singh Ladi said he decided to join AAP after being impressed by the policies and governance of the Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab Government. He said the government’s focus on public welfare, transparent administration, education, healthcare, and development motivated him to become part of the party.

AAP leaders welcomed Ladi and his supporters, stating that more political leaders are placing their trust in the party because of its governance model and people-centric initiatives. They expressed confidence that the inclusion of experienced leaders like Balwinder Singh Ladi would further strengthen the party’s organizational structure in Punjab.
Cabinet Minister Hardip Singh Mundian also extended a warm welcome to the new members and said the party would continue working collectively to accelerate Punjab’s development and serve the people with dedication.
The latest political move is being viewed as an important development in Punjab’s political landscape, especially as parties continue to strengthen their organizations ahead of future electoral battles. Political observers believe such shifts could influence the state’s evolving political equations in the coming months.
