Chief Minister Tree Plantation Campaign : The block-level plantation programme of ‘Mukhyamantri Vriksharopan Mahabhiyan-Hariyalo-Rajasthan’ was held at Gram Panchayat Dundada Panchayat Samiti Luni in Jodhpur district on Sunday under the chief hospitality of Shri Jogaram Patel, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Law and Legal Affairs.
Shri Patel said that the double engine government is working with a strong resolve for inclusive and inclusive growth. He said that under the able leadership of successful Chief Minister Mr. Bhajan Lal Sharma, the first green budget of the state reflects the commitment of the government towards environmental protection. The Parliamentary Affairs Minister said that the Green Budget aims to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. He said that last year 7 crore saplings were planted under the Chief Minister’s Tree Plantation Campaign, this year the target is to plant and nurture 10 crore saplings by connecting every family.
A green and safe future
Shri Patel said that this campaign is not just a plantation programme but a pledge for a green and safe future for the future generations. He said that today when the whole world is struggling with climate change and environmental crisis, there is a need to plant more and more trees to protect nature and environment.
Youth will get employment
The Parliamentary Affairs Minister said that the state government is giving government jobs to one lakh 25 thousand posts to the youth this year. He said that the recruitment of drivers and class IV personnel, which has been pending for years, is under process.
Patel said that all the posts of nursing staff have been filled to provide better health facilities to the general public. He said that the recruitment of Medical Officer has been completed and the appointment will be given soon.
A developed and modern road system will be constructed –
Shri Patel said that for the developed and modern road system of the Luni region, road construction works worth more than 4 billion rupees have been approved. He said the construction of Atal Pragati Path in villages with more than 5 thousand population is being done in a phased manner.
Call to plant ‘the name of a tree mother’ –
Shri Patel said that it is our shared responsibility to develop all community spaces including schools as clean and green areas. He called upon all the villagers to plant ‘One Tree Mother’s Name’.
