CHiPS : A one-day Artificial Intelligence (AI) workshop was organized for senior administrative officers of the state.
Chhattisgarh Infotech Promotion Society (CHiPS) organized a one-day workshop on Artificial Intelligence today at a private hotel in Raipur under the Department of Electronics and Information Technology. Secretary to Chief Minister Shri P. Dayananda, Shri Basava Raju, Secretary General Administration Department Shri Kamal Preet Singh, Secretary Technical Education Department Shri S. Bharathidasan, Special Secretary Energy Department Shri Ankit Anand, Chief Executive Officer NRDA Shri Saurabh Kumar, IG Shri Ram Gopal Garg and more than 100 officials attended the workshop. Inaugurating the programme, Principal Secretary, Department of Electronics and Information Technology, Mrs. Niharika Singh Barik said that in this era of fast changing technology, to reach good governance to the last person of the state, information about emerging technology will be given through this workshop.
Smt.Niharika Singh Barik said that AI technology is changing faster than we think. Through this, we can get quick solutions to many of our problems, and it can also be used effectively in government service delivery and policy making. CHiPS ,That is why today’s workshop has been organized.
At the conclusion of the first session of the workshop, while thanking all the senior civil servants, Shri Prabhat Malik, Chief Executive Officer, CHiPS , said that A.I. technology can be used in governance and administration to increase efficiency and quick decision making. The main objective of this event is to promote the right use of technology in government work.
Addressing the workshop, Dr. Shiva Kakkar, an A.I. expert from New Delhi, said that the technology was first used in the textile industry in the world. Since 2022, A.I. technology has expanded rapidly around the world. Dr. Shiva said that earlier it was believed that the use of technology reduces employment opportunities, but in fact, through new technologies, more opportunities for jobs with new skills are created. Explaining the effective use of A.I. technology in the workshop, he elaborated on important and useful tools like Chat GPT, Meta, Google Notebook L.M.
Presenting the Vote of Thanks at the end of the workshop, CEO, Chips, Shri Prabhat Malik said that CHiPS will be conducting workshops every month on various topics of Emerging Technologies. The departments of the state can inform the chips by selecting specific topics related to their field of work, and workshops will be organized on those topics as well. Chief Executive Officer, Chips, Shri Kumar Bishwaranjan, Additional Chief Executive Officer, CHiPS , Shri Shashank Pandey and Joint CEO, CHiPS , Shri Anupam Ashish Toppo were also present on the occasion.
