Under the leadership of CM Bhajan Lal Sharma, the State Government is continuously committed to the welfare of farmers and promotion of agriculture sector. Important decisions are constantly being taken by the government to increase the income of farmers and make their lives happy. Special attention is also being paid by the government to strengthen the infrastructure of the agriculture sector. In another important decision, the Chief Minister has approved free land allotment for all new Mandis, Subordinate Mandis and Food Parks announced in the State Budget 2025-26.
The path of development of these mandis has been paved –
In the State Budget 2025-26, minor agriculture mandis were announced at Bidasar (Sujangarh-Churu), Bhinai, Rupangarh (Ajmer), Tapukara (Khairthal Tijara), Ramgarh (Pachwara-Dausa), Nawan, Khatu Khurd (Didwana-Kuchaman), Seemalwara (Dungarpur), Rajakhera (Dholpur), Agricultural Produce Market at Riabari (Medta-Nagaur), Fruit Vegetable Market at Sirohi, Makhupura (Ajmer), Bar (Jaitaran-Biawar), Banetha (Tonk), Mandar (Sirohi), Baharwanda Kalan (Sawaimadhopur), Nasirda (Tonk) and Sekhala (Jodhpur). Along with this, it was also announced to shift the grain and mustard market of Bharatpur out of the city, mini food park in Anupgarh (Sriganganagar) and agro food park in Sanchaur (Jalore).
CM Bhajan gave his consent to allot land free of cost for these mandis, sub-mandis and food parks in government as well as local body areas. Under this decision, 25 per cent of the land for mandis will be allotted by the respective bodies at the DLC rate and this 25 per cent DLC amount will also be made available by the state government to the respective bodies.
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma has issued administrative and financial sanction of more than Rs. 13 crore 87 lakh for the construction of new construction, construction and repair of four walls and new approach roads in various agricultural produce markets of the state. With this, the work of 25 new link roads of Surajpol Anaj Mandi Jaipur, 2 new link roads of Krishi Upaj Mandi Bundi and 1 new link road of Krishi Upaj Mandi Sikar will be completed. In addition, new construction work will be carried out in Khatoli (Kota) agricultural produce market, four wall repair works in Keshoraypatan (Bundi) secondary market Kapren and four wall construction works in sub-mandi Bapini (Osian-Mathania).
In another decision, CM Bhajan approved the allocation / transfer of funds to the tune of Rs. 11.50 crore and Rs. 20 crore to the Agriculture and Horticulture Departments respectively out of the amount available in the Farmers Welfare Fund for implementation of the Budget announcements.
