CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said that to realize the resolve of developed Rajasthan, the state government is working with dedication by giving priority to the development of water, energy, employment and industrial sector.He said that along with the participation of 8 crore people of the state, the migrant Rajasthani brothers and sisters will also play an important role in realizing this resolve.
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma was addressing the diaspora Rajasthani community at the Karmabhoomi Se Mathrubhumi event in Mumbai on Saturday. He said that during my various visits to the country and abroad, I was extremely happy to see that our expatriate Rajasthani are contributing in the development of their karmabhoomi as well as in the grooming and enrichment of Rajasthan while staying connected with their motherland.
The Chief Minister said that the migrant Rajasthanis have taken a similar initiative in the field of water conservation. We are getting full support of Bhamashahs and migrant brothers and sisters in the Karmabhoomi to Mathrubhumi campaign launched by the state government with the inspiration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Under this, about 45 thousand water conservation structures will be constructed in the state. This campaign will not only increase water availability by saving every drop of rainwater but will also help in increasing the groundwater level.
The state government has taken a number of steps to ensure adequate availability of water.
“Our government has taken several steps to ensure adequate availability of water in Rajasthan. Under the guidance of the successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, we have also started work on the ERCP (Ram Jal Setu Link Project), which has been pending for years. Along with this, we have formed a task force with Haryana by taking forward the important Yamuna water agreement for Shekhawati. He said that the work of preparing DPR for supply of drinking water to Churu, Jhunjhunu and Sikar districts from Yamuna water allocated from Hathnikund Barrage has also started. In addition, several water management works have been taken up in the Mahi basin. Projects like Devas are also getting off the ground. At the same time, we are also working so that Jalore, Sirohi and Barmer get more benefits from the water of Narmada. Shri Sharma said that along with these projects, the State Government is constructing 5 lakh water harvesting structures in 20 thousand villages through Mukhyamantri Jal Swavlamban Abhiyan 2.0 for water harvesting. He said that once all these efforts fructify, adequate water will be available in the state.
Significant work done in the field of energy, industry and employment –
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said that in order to make the state self-reliant in the field of energy, we have signed MoUs worth Rs. Shri Sharma said that in the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit held in December last year for the development of Rajasthan’s industrial sector, the maximum investment proposals have been received in the energy sector. He said that investment proposals worth about Rs 35 lakh crore were received in this summit, out of which ground breaking of investment proposals worth Rs 3 lakh crore has been done in just a few months. The Chief Minister said that to provide employment to the youth of Rajasthan, we have set a target of providing one lakh jobs in a year, out of which we have given 69,000 jobs and the remaining will be given in the next few months.
The state government will provide all possible help to the investors.
Inviting the expatriate Rajasthani community to invest in Rajasthan, Shri Sharma said that investment in Rajasthan will not only increase their business but also contribute significantly to the prosperity of the state. The Rajasthan government will provide all possible help in this regard, he said. The Chief Minister said that the state government has appointed IAS officers from different countries of the world and different states of the country as nodal officers, who will work as coordinators between the state government and the investors.
Addressing the event, Union Minister of Jal Shakti, Shri C. R. Patil said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, water conservation works are being carried out across the country. Water is also being supplied through tankers to every household. If water is managed properly, there will be no shortage of water anywhere in the country.
The Minister of State for Home Affairs, Gujarat, Shri Harsh Sanghvi, the Minister of State for Forests, Gujarat, Shri Mukeshbhai Patel and the MLA Jodhpur, Shri Atul Bhansali were also present on the occasion.
