CM Bhajan Lal Sharma on Sunday listened to the Shiv Mahapuran Katha being held at Vidyadhar Nagar Stadium. He congratulated the narrator Pandit Pradeep Mishra by wearing a scarf. The Chief Minister offered prayers to Lord Shiva and prayed for the prosperity of the people of the state.
Addressing a large audience at the Shiv Mahapuran Katha event, Shri Sharma said that it is a matter of great fortune for all of us that the glorious story of Lord Shiva is being organized on the holy land of Jaipur. He said that Lord Shiva is worshipped in the form of Kailashpati, Bholanath, and Vishwanath. Rishis, Munis, Sants, and Mahants show the path to society by reciting the story of the virtues of Lord Shiva.
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said that it is by the grace of Lord Shiva that peace, prosperity, and positivity are infused in life. The Shiva Mahapuran is not just a scripture but a divine philosophy to make life meaningful. He said that today we are living in an era where Sanatan Dharma is being revived. The grand construction of Mahakal Lok in Ujjain and the development of the corridor of Lord Vishwanath in Varanasi are living proof of this. He mentioned that the transformed forms of Kedarnath, Somnath, and Badrinath are also being witnessed by everyone. With all this, our cultural and spiritual heritage is also gaining glory on the world stage. He remarked that the influx of people from all over the world to take a holy bath in the Mahakumbh held in Prayagraj showcases the greatness of our Sanatan culture.
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said that he was very happy to see the Matri Shakti present in large numbers to listen to the stream of devotion flowing through this story. “Rajasthan is the land of power and devotion. Till today we all are taking inspiration from great matriarchs like Mata Pannadhai, Bhakti idol Meerabai, and Maa Amrita Devi.”
The Chief Minister said that the simplicity and depth with which Pandit Pradeep Mishra brings the Shiv Mahapuran story to the people is amazing. His voice reflects the power that touches the heart of every listener. He said that such events should be held in Rajasthan, which will strengthen our heritage, culture, and Sanatan.
