The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today addressed the nation in the 121st Episode of Mann Ki Baat.CM Bhajan Lal Sharma also listened to ‘Mann Ki Baat “programme at Mumbai Airport during his stay in Mumbai. In his address, Shri Modi strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir and said that this attack shows the desperation of the patrons of terror. He said that peace was returning to Kashmir and democracy was getting stronger, but the enemies of the country did not like this peace and prosperity. Shri Modi assured that the families of the victims will get justice and the perpetrators and conspirators of the attack will be given the strongest possible response.
In his address, the Prime Minister recalled the contributions of space scientist Dr. K. Kasturirangan, while paying tributes to him on his demise. Referring to the completion of 50 years of the launch of Aryabhata satellite, he said that India’s dream flight into space once started with just a lot of enthusiasm, but today the country has become a global space power. We have created a record by launching 104 satellites simultaneously and India has become the first country to reach the South Pole of the Moon.
In his address, the Prime Minister talked about the relief operations undertaken by India after the earthquake in Myanmar and the vaccine shipment to Afghanistan. He said that in times of crisis, India is being identified as Vishwamitra. Talking about the “Ek Vriksh Maa Ke Naam” campaign, the Prime Minister exhorted the countrymen to plant as many saplings as possible during the summer season. He also spoke on a number of other issues.
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said that through this inspirational programme, the Prime Minister encouraged every section of the society to ensure their active participation in the Mahayagya of nation building while depicting the remarkable achievements of India’s development journey. Shri Sharma said that the words of the Prime Minister have a deep impact, which inspires us to move forward with the resolve of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’.
