CM Bhajan Lal Sharma directed to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the public during the summer season. He directed the DISCOMs officials to continuously monitor the power supply and complete other necessary rectification works including transformers, GSS on time. At the same time, special attention should be paid to reducing electricity consumption.
At a review meeting of Jaipur, Jodhpur and Ajmer discoms at CM Bhajan Lal Sharma residence on Wednesday, CM Bhajan Lal Sharma directed to strengthen the power system in rural areas and remove the previous problems. He ordered increased monitoring of feeder level, early replacement of faulty meters and Power Generation Corporation to complete maintenance before peak time.
Instructions to expedite PM Kusum Yojana CM Bhajan Lal Sharma stressed on making the energy sector self-reliant under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha and Utthan Maha Abhiyan (PM KUSUM) scheme. He asked them to ensure uninterrupted power supply to consumers by effectively implementing the RDSS scheme. He also directed the officials to take strict action against the erring contractors.
Appeal for early implementation of free power scheme State Government has been directed to expeditiously implement the scheme of providing 150 units of free power to eligible households under Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Mukt Bijli Yojana and setting up of community solar plants.
Prompt release of pending agricultural connections CM Bhajan Lal Sharma directed the DISCOMs to release the pending domestic and agricultural connections on priority and send its report to the Chief Minister’s Office daily. He also reviewed the status of PHED connections, GSS construction and transformer replacement.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of State for Power, Shri Heeralal Nagar, senior officers of various departments and Collectors of the districts through video conferencing.
