CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said that there is a huge potential of solar energy in Rajasthan.Our government is committed to the development of renewable energy.He said that we will build a green and bright future in the field of energy in Rajasthan with the participation of all so that the resolve of an excellent and developed Rajasthan can be fulfilled.Shri Sharma was speaking at the inauguration of ReNew Power’s 1.3 GW Peak Solar Power Plant at Pokaran in Jaisalmer on Thursday.He said that this solar plant set up on the golden soil of Jaisalmer will give impetus to the work being done towards self-reliance in the field of energy in the state.All the electricity generated from this solar plant will be made available to the distribution companies of Rajasthan at low rates.This will ensure uninterrupted supply of energy to the consumers and will also set a benchmark for future projects.The plant will also generate 1,500 direct and indirect employment opportunities.He said that solar energy is the most environment friendly and cleanest energy.The reserves of other energy sources are limited but there is no depletion of solar energy, it is renewable energy.Every family can become a producer of solar energy.
Rajasthan is a suitable place for investors in the renewable energy sector
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said that the geographical location of Rajasthan is also conducive for renewable energy.Rajasthan has the potential to generate 142 GW of solar power.Abundant availability of raw materials, good industrial infrastructure, favourable geographical location and availability of skilled human resources make the state an ideal destination for investors in the renewable energy sector.He said a green corridor is being developed in western Rajasthan as an initiative towards integrating solar and wind energy generation.It also includes a network of grid substations, which is estimated to generate 6,311 MW of green energy.He said that the state government is providing large government plots to renewable energy generating companies at reasonable rates.The Central and State Governments are also running several schemes for skill development, infrastructure and technological development.
With the vision of the Prime Minister, the nation is becoming a symbol of green energy revolution
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said that the successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has set a target of 500 GW of renewable energy in the country by the year 2030, which is an important part of his Panchamrit goals.This goal is an important step towards shaping India’s energy future and is also a symbol of our nation’s green energy revolution.He said that in the first 100 days of the Prime Minister’s third term, 6 GW of energy capacity has been installed against the target of 4.5 GW.Rajasthan will contribute significantly in achieving the target of 500 GW of renewable energy by 2030 set by the Prime Minister.Shri Sharma said that this plant launched today is an excellent example of Make in India.In this, 100 percent of the modules made in India have been used and 90 percent of the components have been procured from Rajasthan.This augurs well for local industries and is also in line with our vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Union Minister of New and Renewable Energy Shri Pralhad Joshi said that as per the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Central Government is continuously increasing energy production. In line with the vision of a developed India, such plants will boost renewable energy generation. He said that the State Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma is doing excellent work in the field of energy.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister and the Union Minister of Renewable Energy unveiled the plaque to mark the inauguration of the solar plant. Earlier, the Chief Minister was welcomed by local public representatives and administrative officials on his arrival at the helipad. Shri Heeralal Nagar, Minister of State (I / C) for Power, Shri Mahant Pratap Puri, MLA, Shri Chhotu Singh Bhati, CEO, RENEW, Shri Sumant Sinha, other public representatives and officials were present on the occasion.
