CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said that the state government has taken far-reaching decisions to expand the air facilities in the state.This will boost tourism, education and business activities and give much-needed impetus to the state’s economy.
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma was reviewing the Civil Aviation Department at the Chief Minister’s residence on Monday. He said that Kota Greenfield Airport will prove to be important in providing state-of-the-art air facilities. An MoU has been signed between the state government and the Airport Authority of India for the development of this airport. He directed the officials to expedite the work of EHV line shifting of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited and line shifting of RRVPNL.
Jaipur State Terminal will be a confluence of heritage and modern facilities
The Chief Minister said that world-class facilities should be developed at the state terminal being built. In this, work should be done by making a special plan regarding green area, parking, meeting hall etc. so that better facilities and services can be ensured to the visitors. He said that the architecture of the terminal building should reflect the heritage of Jaipur and modern facilities should also be developed. In future, the terminal should be built according to the number of visitors and air services. In the meeting, the officials apprised the Chief Minister that 12,778 square metres of Jaipur airport land has been allotted for the construction of the terminal.
The Chief Minister said that the state government is working with commitment for the up-gradation and repair work of airstrips in various areas of the state. He gave necessary directions regarding expansion of Udaipur airport and civil enclave and approach road on Uttarlai airstrip. He said that the terminal capacity of Jaipur Airport is being increased from 50 lakh to 70 lakh passengers per annum.
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma reviewed the upgradation and expansion of airstrips in the state. He directed to expedite the expansion of Jhunjhunu, Abu Road and Dungarpur airstrips and the work of Flying Training Organizations (FTOs) in Pratapgarh and Hamirgarh.
The Chief Minister gave necessary guidelines while holding detailed discussions regarding the extension of air facility and air ambulance facility from Haryana to Salasar and Khatushyamji. He said that the facility of Air Ambulance will provide emergency medical facilities to remote places which will provide relief to the general public. Shri Sharma reviewed the progress on MoUs signed in the civil aviation sector during the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit.
Minister of State for Civil Aviation (Independent Charge) Shri Gautam Kumar Dak, Chief Secretary Shri Sudhanshu Pant and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
