CM Bhajan Lal Sharma reached the super critical thermal power station in Suratgarh on Wednesday during his two-day Hanumangarh-Sriganganagar stay. There he inspected the power station and directed the officials to ensure uninterrupted power supply to farmers and general public in summer. For this, efficient and systematic operation of power generation units is necessary.
In a review meeting held in the conference hall, CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said that in order to ensure that the production is not interrupted due to technical reasons, it is necessary to check all the equipment and units from time to time. At the same time, instructions were also given to regularly monitor the capacity of power generation.
The government is committed to increasing power generation in the state.
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma said that the state government is seriously working to increase power generation at low cost through new technologies. In this direction, the process of installing 125/250 MWh battery energy storage system at Suratgarh Thermal Power Station has been started. Also, an agreement has been signed to set up a 100 MW solar power plant in collaboration with RVUNL and Coal India. With these schemes, a big step has been taken in the direction of providing electricity to the farmers during the day.

C. Singhal.
