CM Bhajanlal Sharma said that the welfare of the poor, youth, farmers and women of the state is the priority of the state government. The Budget 2025-26 has announced week-long mega events to commemorate Rajasthan Diwas (March 30, 2025 – Chaitra Shukla Pratipada). Benefits under various schemes will be provided through these programmes. During this festival, along with investment festival, cultural programs, development works worth Rs 5,000 crore will be inaugurated and foundation stone will be laid.
Preparations for Rajasthan Day reviewed
CM Bhajanlal Sharma reviewed the preparations for the Rajasthan Diwas celebrations at the Chief Minister’s residence on Monday. He directed all the departments to prepare and finalize the detailed plan of the programmes.
An employment fair will be held.
On this occasion, distribution of government job appointment letters under Rozgar Utsav and employment fairs will be organized at district headquarters. At the same time, the government will launch Vishwakarma Yuva Udyami Protsahan Yojana and Chief Minister Educated Rajasthan Abhiyan along with the implementation of Skill Policy and Youth Policy.
Farmers and women will get direct assistance.
The state government will organise fairs of Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) in which subsidy amount will be distributed to farmers under various schemes. The CIF amount will be transferred to the beneficiaries of Lado Incentive Scheme and women groups towards women empowerment. In addition, induction cooktops, scooties under Kalibai Bheel Yojana and sanction letters under Vivekananda Scholarship will be distributed to women.
New schemes for the disadvantaged
The government has announced the launch of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Garib Mukt Gram Yojana and Dadudayal Nomadic Empowerment Scheme. Under this, DBT to construction workers, dairy booth allotment, distribution of pattas under the Swamitva scheme and distribution of electric powered chalk will be done.
Investment Festival and Economic Development
The state government is working on mission mode to bring the agreements made under Rising Rajasthan to the ground. Under this, ground-breaking of investment projects worth Rs 3 lakh crore will be done. Also, Rising Rajasthan mobile app will be launched to help investors.
Cultural programmes and cultural programmes
The state government will lay the foundation stone and dedicate development projects worth about Rs 5,000 crore. Cultural programmes will also be organised in every district of the state.
The historical significance of Rajasthan Day
During the discussion on the Finance and Appropriation Bill in the Assembly, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma had announced to celebrate Rajasthan Day as per Indian tradition, referring to the speech made by the country’s first Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on the occasion of March 30, 1949 (year Pratipada Samvat 2006).
