CM Mohan Yadav : Social workers are also participating in the campaign
CM Mohan Yadav has said that Jal Sanchay-Jan-Bhagidari Abhiyan, which started in Surat, Ahmedabad, is also being launched in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh today. After Khajuraho, Sagar, Rewa, this campaign is also being started from Ujjain. The CM said that when our youth power joins this work, we will give a gift to Mother Earth, this process will boost the water reserves. Water collection (Jal Sanchay) is the best means to solve our problems. Union Jal Shakti Minister Shri CR Patil said that the participation of social workers in the campaign being run in the country is also creating awareness among the general public.
CM Mohan Yadav and Union Jal Shakti Minister Shri Patil launched the Jal Sanchay-Jan-Bhagidari Abhiyan at Engineering College Ujjain.
CM Mohan Yadav said that the purpose of connecting the youth power with the campaign is that the youth understand the significance of nature and the environment. The CM said that water is an important means of our life. He said that the water of the villages should remain in the villages, and the water of the ponds should be stored in the ponds, this effort to prevent the rainwater from flowing away and getting wasted is amazing in itself. He said that when Union Minister Shri Patil told us about this campaign, we also started a campaign to implement this scheme in Madhya Pradesh. Social workers are participating in this campaign.
Bhoomi Pujan was performed at the outset of the programme. In the campaign, pits will be drilled at various places with boring machines. Through these pits, rainwater will be stored and preserved underground. This will enhance the water level in the surrounding water sources. Along with this, the water storage capacity will also increase.
Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silawat, Ujjain Incharge Minister Shri Gautam Tetwal, MP Shri Anil Ferozia, MLA Shri Anil Jain Kaluheda, public representatives, college professors and students were present at the launch of the campaign.
