CM Mohan Yadav said that journalism is a vital pillar for safeguarding democracy and nurturing nationalist sentiment in the country. Journalists dedicate their entire lives to this responsibility. In a healthy democratic environment, both agreement and disagreement have their significance, and many newspaper groups in the country are fulfilling this role commendably. The journey of the Swadesh Group has been a reflection of this commitment. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated the launch ceremony of the Swadesh Jyoti newspaper by lighting a lamp at Apex Bank Samanvay Bhawan on Tuesday. He extended his best wishes to the Chairman and Chief Editor of the newspaper group, Shri Rajendra Sharma, on the launch of the new publication Dainik Swadesh Jyoti from Bhopal.
Swadesh became the voice of the Backward and Deprived Sections
CM Mohan Yadav said that Swadesh newspaper upheld democratic values while courageously facing challenges during the Emergency. Today, along with print and electronic media, new media (digital media) is also playing a significant role in nation-building. Addressing the programme, Assembly Speaker Shri Narendra Singh Tomar said that inspired by the thoughts of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, Swadesh newspaper has consistently worked to raise the voice of the backward and deprived sections of society. Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Minister Shri Chaitanya Kashyap said that Swadesh has set an exemplary standard in journalism by upholding strong nationalist ideals.
Swadesh awakened the spirit of ‘Nation First’ among citizens
Former Governor Shri Kaptan Singh Solanki, while congratulating the management of Dainik Swadesh Jyoti, said that Swadesh newspaper has played a significant role in the reconstruction of the nation after independence. At that time, the country faced deep divisions based on religion, language, caste, gender, and economic disparity. In such challenging circumstances, Swadesh strengthened nationalist ideas and instilled the spirit of ‘Nation First’ among the citizens. He also mentioned that former Prime Minister Late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee was closely associated with this newspaper for a long time. Senior MP Shri V.D. Sharma and senior leader Shri Suresh Pachauri also addressed the programme and extended their congratulations to the management. Senior journalist and Editor-in-Chief Shri Rajendra Sharma presented the journey and vision of the newspaper to the audience present at the event.
