CM Vishnudev Sai has directed all the key officials of the Health Department to ensure that the medicines reach the last person. He has said that there is a better possibility of treatment through AYUSH in the state, it needs to be expanded further. He said that health facilities should be expanded for the benefit of the people. He said that better facilities should be ensured for the patients in the hospitals and they should get good treatment near their homes.CM Vishnudev Sai was reviewing various schemes of the Health Department at Mantralaya today. CM Vishnudev Sai has directed the officials of the Health Department to work on priority on diseases like anaemia, maternal programme and leprosy.
Briefing CM Vishnudev Sai in the meeting, Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal said that Chhattisgarh has been ranked 5th in the country in the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) programme. He said that in the coming days, health facilities in the state will continue to expand even better. Shri Jaiswal informed the Chief Minister about the achievements made in the health sector after the formation of the State Government and also presented the future plans to the Chief Minister.
Shri Amit Kataria, Secretary, Health Department informed the meeting that the State of Chhattisgarh is doing well in eradicating diseases like TB and Malaria. The treatment success rate towards TB elimination is 90 per cent while 100 per cent TB patients have been notified during this period. With this, the state has achieved 94 per cent target of vaccination by March 2025.
The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Subodh Kumar Singh, Secretary to the Health Department Amit Kataria, Secretaries to the Chief Minister Rahul Bhagat and Mukesh Bansal, Commissioner Medical Education and Commissioner AYUSH Mrs. Shikha Rajput Tiwari, Managing Director NHM and Commissioner cum Director Dr. Priyanka Shukla, Controller of Food and Drugs Department Deepak Agrawal and other senior officers of the Health Department.
