Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state government has completed eight years of service, security and good governance. On this occasion, he has got the opportunity to visit Mirzapur. Mirzapur district got the gift of development projects worth more than Rs 500 crore, including the foundation stone of 116 projects worth Rs 299 crore and 122 projects worth about Rs 200 crore. He wished the people of Mirzapur for Vasant Navratri, Shri Ram Navami and for these development projects.
CM Yogi Adityanath distributed certificates, symbolic cheques and toolkits to the beneficiaries of various government schemes during the Vikas Utsav held at Mirzapur. Along with this, he honoured the excellent works of various departments and appreciated them by visiting the exhibition.
He informed that Vikas Utsav is being organized in all the districts of the state from 25th to 27th March, 2025 with the aim of informing and connecting the people with the government schemes. The government is working to provide benefits of these schemes to the youth, farmers, artisans and women.
Under the Chief Minister’s Youth Entrepreneurship Development Campaign, interest-free loans up to Rs 5 lakh are being given without guarantee. Loan up to Rs 10 lakh will be given on timely payment. More than 500 young entrepreneurs have been associated with this scheme in Mirzapur, while more than 35,000 youth have been benefitted so far in the state. The goal of the government is that the youth establish new enterprises and start-ups and increase employment opportunities.
He appealed to the bank officials to disburse the loans of the youth whose loans have been sanctioned at the earliest. He said that the state government is committed to make the youth self-reliant and to make Uttar Pradesh a one trillion dollar economy.
The Chief Minister informed that the carpet cluster of Mirzapur is again making a global identity and the brass and stone work here will be encouraged. Under the ‘One District, One Product’ scheme, artisans and entrepreneurs of Mirzapur are being supported.
The state government has set a target to ensure supply of pure drinking water under the Har Ghar Nal Yojana. Also, industrial development will be promoted by connecting Ganga Expressway with Purvanchal Expressway, which will provide employment to local youth.
CM Yogi Adityanath informed that the construction of Medical College and Maa Vindhyavasini University in Mirzapur is going on at a rapid pace. Religious tourism is getting a boost with the development of Maa Vindhyavasini Dham and the corridor.
He said that the recently concluded Prayagraj Mahakumbh-2025 has further strengthened the image of Indian culture across the world. During this time the people of Mirzapur presented a wonderful example of hospitality.
The state government is making the early warning system more effective to prevent lightning incidents, so that the duration of issuing alerts can be increased from 30 minutes to 3 hours.
Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Anupriya Patel lauded the development work done in the state under the leadership of CM Yogi Adityanath . He expressed the need to increase seats in the industrial corridor and medical college in Mirzapur. He also proposed to open a Kendriya Vidyalaya in Haliya, a tribal area, which the Chief Minister said would be sent to the central government for approval.
Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh and several other public representatives and administrative officials were present on the occasion.
