CM Yogi Adityanath said that the biggest strength of democracy is dialogue. This is an effective way to find a solution to every difficulty. Where the dialogue stops, the struggle begins. India’s democracy is so strong that the roles of all its institutions – the legislature, the executive, the judiciary and the media – are clear and balanced. If all these institutions follow their limits, democracy will be even stronger, and the voice of the person standing in the last row will also reach the heights.
CM Yogi Adityanath was inaugurating the ‘Amar Ujala Samvad-Uttar Pradesh, Swarnim Shatabdi Ki Aur’ programme in Lucknow. He said that democracy is considered superior because it gives every person equal rights and opportunities to live a life of dignity. But it is necessary to fulfill the duties along with the rights – because when one misses his duties, he becomes a threat to his rights.
CM Yogi Adityanath congratulated Amar Ujala on its journey of 77 years and said that this dialogue program will represent the sentiments of 25 crore people through the state capital Lucknow. He said that in the year 2047, when the country is celebrating the 100th year of independence, the role and responsibility of the media will become even more important.
Talking about the cultural and spiritual identity of Uttar Pradesh, the Chief Minister said that the state is the centre of faith of the country. People in eastern India associate it with Rukmini-Krishna marriage, western India connects it with Dwarka, and southern India connects it with Hanuman ji’s temple in Ayodhya. Maa Ganga blesses the country equally, and the participation of lakhs of devotees from the country and abroad in Mahakumbh 2025 held in Prayagraj, the center of this sanctity, is a proof of this.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that Uttar Pradesh has now become a riot-free state where festivals of all religions and communities are celebrated with peace and enthusiasm. The state’s economy has also made tremendous progress – from a GSDP of ₹12.75 lakh crore in 2017, it has now grown to ₹30 lakh crore. Per capita income has also increased almost two-and-a-half times.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that the encephalitis disease, which was once considered fatal in Purvanchal, has now been eradicated. Health services have also improved – work is being done towards “One District One Medical College.” Better roads, expressways, metro, rapid rail and waterways have been built in the state.
UP has also set a new record in the field of investment. 15 lakh crore investment has come in the last 8 years. Investors are being helped with transparency through ‘Nivesh Mitra’ portal and ‘Nivesh Sarathi’ system. In the year 2024-25, incentives worth ₹4,000 crore have also been given so far.
CM Yogi Adityanath also pointed out that Uttar Pradesh is at the forefront of most of the central government schemes – such as the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, and free ration distribution. Moreover, the state has become the largest hub of MSMEs, and timely payments to sugarcane farmers are also being ensured. More than ₹2.8 lakh crore has been paid to farmers in the last 8 years.
