Paying tributes to those killed in the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath said there is no place for terrorism and anarchy in a civilised society. He said India runs on the model of service, security and good governance and whoever tries to breach security, New India will respond in the same language under the “zero tolerance” policy. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India does not provoke anyone unnecessarily, but if anyone provokes, he will not be spared.
Addressing a public meeting after inspecting the channelization work of Sharda river in Palia area of Lakhimpur Kheri district, the Chief Minister informed that around Rs. 14.30 crore was disbursed under Revolving Fund to 358 groups and Community Investment Fund to 882 groups under National Rural Livelihood Mission. Symbolic keys were also handed over to farmers under Tractors under Agriculture Mechanization Mission and to beneficiaries under Awas Yojana. Loans worth about Rs. 28.63 lakh were also disbursed to the youth under Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that the government is working for self-reliance, security and welfare of the poor with full devotion. The state has been put on the path of development by ending mafia and anarchy. Today the youth of Uttar Pradesh do not have a crisis of identity. The state has world-class highways, railway network, metro services, rapid rail and inland waterways.
Channelisation of Sharda river will provide flood relief to 400 villages and more than 2.5 lakh people, he said. Earlier, a proposal of Rs 180 crore was made to build an embankment, but now a permanent solution is being done for only Rs 22 crore.
Referring to the rapid development of Lakhimpur Kheri, the Chief Minister said that a medical college has been built here, efforts are being made to promote tourism and work has also been started in the direction of airport construction.
Talking about the interests of farmers and youth, he said that the double engine government is providing loan waiver, sugarcane price payment and agricultural equipment to the farmers. Now sugarcane farmers are being paid on time and if the sugar mill owners delay, their property will be auctioned and paid.
CM Yogi Adityanath also mentioned about the scheme to provide interest free loans to the youth to set up enterprises. At the same time, the government is working to financially empower women self-help groups.
He also shared plans to develop ‘Gola Gokarnanatha’ and ‘Dudhwa National Park’ as tourist hubs, referring to Akshaya Tritiya and Lord Parshuram Jayanti.
CM Yogi Adityanath appealed to the farmers to make straw banks instead of burning crop residue, which will serve the bovines and also increase nutrition.
A short film was screened and several other MLAs and officials, including Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh, were present at the event.
