Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath today inspected the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve located in Lakhimpur Kheri district. He observed the efforts made by World Wildlife Fund for Nature, Rapid Response Team and NABARD to reduce human and wildlife conflict such as banana products, exhibition of self-help groups, tranquilizer guns, trail cameras and drone technology.
CM Yogi Adityanath enquired about the arrangements in the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve as well as the work of the women of the Tharu community and also honoured the women with a citation for their excellent work. He also interacted with foreign tourists and doctors who expressed satisfaction over the arrangements at the reserve. The Chief Minister directed the Forest Department officials to ensure all necessary arrangements for the safety and convenience of the tourists.
CM Yogi Adityanath also visited the Salukapur Elephant Camp where he christened a baby elephant ‘Bhavani’ and fed fodder and bananas to the elephants.
Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh, Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh, Excise Minister Nitin Agarwal, Ministers of State for Forest and Environment Dr. Arun Kumar Saxena, K. P. Malik and other senior officials were also present on the occasion.
