Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath today conducted an on-the-spot inspection of the under-construction Ganga Expressway in Hardoi, Shahjahanpur and Hapur districts. He directed to complete the project works in a time bound manner and with high quality.
The inspection started from Mallawan and Madhoganj development blocks of Hardoi district, where the Chief Minister gave clear instructions to the officials while reviewing the progress. Later, at village Piru in Jalalabad tehsil of Shahjahanpur, the Chief Minister inspected the condition of the expressway and held a meeting with public representatives and officials to review the works. CM Yogi Adityanath informed that the expressway was planned during Prayagraj Kumbh 2019 and the work started in full swing as soon as the Cabinet gave its approval in 2020. This six-lane (eight-lane in future) expressway of about 594 km has been completed 85% so far. For this, 18,000 acres of land has been purchased from farmers and construction is being done through UPEDA. It will be completed by November 2025 and dedicated to the public.
