CM Yogi Adityanath today inspected the venue of the programme in Kanpur Nagar in view of the proposed visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 24.He reviewed the preparations for the event and gave necessary instructions to the officials.
CM Yogi Adityanath held a meeting with public representatives and officials at the Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology and discussed the framework of the programme.He said that large screens should be installed at the venue so that people can clearly see the program from a distance.
In each of the 30 blocks created at the venue, 10 personnel should be put on duty so that common people and beneficiaries do not face any inconvenience. The Chief Minister also asked to ensure that clean drinking water, hygienic toilets and other basic facilities are available at the meeting and parking places. He also directed the municipal corporation to run a cleanliness drive and make effective arrangements for garbage disposal.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that during this visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Kanpur will get development projects worth thousands of crores of rupees.He informed that the work on the second phase of Kanpur Metro has been completed and metro service has started for 16 km so far.In the coming days, the remaining 16 km will also become operational, which will reduce the problem of traffic jams and people will be able to travel safely and conveniently.
CM Yogi Adityanath also inspected Neyveli Thermal Power Project, Ghatampur and Panki Thermal Expansion Project.He then travelled on the newly constructed Kanpur Metro from Nayaganj to Rawatpur and reviewed the arrangements.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several development projects in Kanpur on April 24.
Speaker Satish Mahana, MSME Minister Rakesh Sachan, Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyay and other public representatives and senior administrative officials were present on the occasion.
