CM Yogi Adityanath said that the efforts of the double engine government in the last eight years have given a new identity to Uttar Pradesh as an ‘expressway state’. Now steps are being taken to establish the state as a major industrial investment destination of the country. In line with this, Integrated Manufacturing and Logistics Clusters (IMLC) have been launched in the state, which he described as a historic initiative towards realising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream of a “developed Uttar Pradesh.”
CM Yogi Adityanath was speaking at the launch of 27 new IMLC clusters from his official residence. He said this is the first time that the development of industrial corridors and clusters along the expressway is being done in tandem.
27 logistics and manufacturing clusters to be developed in the state
The Chief Minister informed that five major expressways –
Bundelkhand Expressway
Ganga Expressway
Purvanchal Expressway
Agra-Lucknow Expressway
27 industrial clusters will be developed on a total of 13,240 acres of land on both sides of Gorakhpur Link Expressway.
These clusters will become the identity of the new Uttar Pradesh, which is no longer a BIMARU state, but is becoming the engine of the country’s economy.
Industrialisation will get a new strength.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that these clusters are a game-changer in terms of attracting investments, providing suitable land and infrastructure to industries, and generating employment in the state. Facilities like logistics facilities, road, rail and air connectivity, plot allotment at affordable rates, industrial park development on PPP model will be available here.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that adequate availability of manpower in Industrial Development Authorities, affordable land rates and encouragement to vertical industries are needed to present the state as a model state.
Progress of Defence Corridors and Expressway Clusters
Under the Defence Industrial Corridor in the state, defence nodes are being developed in a total of 5,184 acres of land in Chitrakoot, Jhansi, Kanpur, Aligarh, Lucknow and Agra, most of which has been acquired.
Similarly, out of the 27 IMLC nodes
Acquisition of 9,864 acres has been completed
Work on the remaining 3,376 acres is in progress.
The Bundelkhand Expressway will be the largest node in area, while the Ganga Expressway is spread across the maximum number of districts.

Industrial Development Minister Shri Nand Kumar Gupta ‘Nandi’ said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state has changed both its image and destiny in the last 8 years.
Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh informed that for the first time, the state government has released more than Rs 15,000 crore to the authorities for purchase of land for industrial development.
