Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath today held a meeting regarding the preparations for the Chaitra Navratri State Fair 2025 at Maa Pateshwari Devi Shaktipeeth, Tulsipur in Balrampur district. He also reviewed the progress of various development projects in the district. On the occasion, the Chief Minister unveiled the logo and website of Maa Pateshwari University, Balrampur and took updates related to the construction of the university.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that Maa Pateshwari Devi Shaktipeeth, Tulsipur is a major center of faith of devotees, where lakhs of devotees come during Chaitra Navratri Mela. He directed the administration to complete all necessary preparations in time to ensure the convenience and safety of the devotees. In particular, arrangements related to CCTV cameras, announcement systems and women’s safety were ordered to be implemented effectively.
Emphasizing on cleanliness, he directed that there should be no problem of single-use plastic and water-logging in the fair. He directed to ensure proper arrangements of mobile toilets, garbage disposal and sprinkling. Referring to the commendable services of the Uttar Pradesh Police, the Chief Minister said that even during the Chaitra Navratri Mela, the behaviour of the police personnel should be cordial towards the devotees. Adequate parking arrangements had also been made.
Instructions were given to coordinate with the transport department to ensure adequate buses for the convenience of devotees. He also emphasized on the well-organized arrangement of e-rickshaws and taxis as well as video displays related to Mahakumbh and Ramayana during the fair. The Chief Minister said that spiritual tourism should be promoted as faith can also become a means of livelihood, the biggest example of which is Prayagraj Mahakumbh-2025.
CM Yogi Adityanath also informed that Balrampur headquarters is being developed as a smart city, which will provide modern facilities to the citizens. In addition, he directed to make necessary preparations in advance to prevent floods.
To mark the completion of eight years of the State Government, various programmes were announced from 25th to 27th March 2025 with emphasis on ensuring participation of local artists, youth, women, entrepreneurs and general public.
