On PM Modi’s 75th birthday, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath launched over 20,000 Health Camps across the state under the “Swastha Nari, Sashakt Parivar” campaign, focusing on women’s and children’s health with free screenings, treatment, and awareness programs.
In a landmark initiative coinciding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated a massive state-level health campaign aimed at improving women’s and children’s health across the state. The event took place at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Scientific Convention Centre, KGMU, marking the launch of more than 20,000 health camps under the ambitious “Swastha Nari, Sashakt Parivar” (Healthy Woman, Empowered Family) program.
The campaign seeks to make women’s health a mass movement by offering comprehensive free medical services and treatment. Running from September 17 to October 2, 2025, the health drive covers all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh, bringing healthcare closer to communities through community health centres, Aarogya Mandirs, and medical colleges.
“Health camps will provide not only screenings but also free treatment. Expert medical professionals are available to ensure proper diagnosis and care,” stated CM Yogi Adityanath during the launch. The campaign aims to boost health awareness and deliver essential healthcare services focusing on women and children.
Key Features of the Health Campaign:
- A total of 20,324 health camps have been organized across Uttar Pradesh’s 75 districts.
- The campaign offers free screenings for blood pressure, diabetes, oral and breast cancer, cervical cancer, anemia, and tuberculosis, targeting high-risk women.
- Pregnant women receive regular health check-ups, while children are provided immunization.
- Approximately 1.89 lakh Anganwadi centers will actively raise health awareness among women across the state.
- Over 500 blood donation drives are planned to promote voluntary blood donation and support healthcare needs.
Empowering Anganwadi Workers:
Recognizing the vital role of Anganwadi workers in the success of this health mission, CM Yogi announced several measures to empower them. These include providing smartphones, increasing honorariums, and ensuring timely payments and training. “We want Anganwadi sisters to become self-reliant and play a stronger role in community health,” the CM added.
A Vision for a Healthier Uttar Pradesh:
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed confidence that the campaign will significantly enhance public health awareness and outcomes, aligning with Prime Minister Modi’s vision for a healthier and stronger India. He urged citizens to actively participate, saying, “Through this campaign, we aim to bring comprehensive change to every citizen’s life.”
This extensive health initiative highlights the Uttar Pradesh government’s commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure and services at the grassroots level, ensuring that quality medical support reaches women and children in every corner of the state.
