Attending the program held in Lucknow, CM Yogi garlanded the statue of Tathagata Buddha and Baba Saheb and paid floral tributes.He also released a book on the occasion.
Referring to the inspirational thoughts of Dr. Ambedkar, Yogi said that Babasaheb had described education as the biggest strength.His life was full of struggles, but he always raised his voice for justice to the deprived and oppressed of the country.
He recalled that Dr. Ambedkar not only participated in the freedom struggle but also became the first Law Minister of independent India and played a decisive role in the making of the Constitution. The Constitution of India is still the foundation of the country’s unity and democracy.
“Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji had started the journey towards realising the dreams of Babasaheb, which was given new energy by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.The Modi government has provided free ration to 80 crore people, Ayushman cards to 50 crore people, Ujjwala Yojana, toilets, housing and Jan Dhan accounts to crores of people.
In the state also, major steps have been taken to provide the right to house land to the poor, distribution of Gharauni and government schemes to the tribal communities. The Chief Minister said that soon all the basic facilities will be given to the left out poor families in every village of the state, and this work will be dedicated to the birth anniversary of Babasaheb.
He informed that under the “Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan,” thousands of youth have been given loans without guarantee and interest, and every year one lakh youth will be given its benefit.
CM Yogi also ensured that the committees associated with community toilets of Gram Panchayats will be fixed to get honorarium every month.
In conclusion, he said that Prime Minister Modi, following the path shown by Babasaheb, has given respect to the Dalits and the deprived, and developed the Panchteerthas. At the same time, he advised to avoid any act that undermines the unity and integrity of the country.
