CM Yogi Adityanath met the family members of Shubham Dwivedi, who was killed in a terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, at his residence in Kanpur Nagar and expressed his condolences. He paid tributes to late Shri Shubham Dwivedi and prayed for peace to his soul. The Chief Minister told the bereaved family that the double engine government stands with them in this hour of grief. This terrorist attack was an extremely brutal, gruesome and cowardly act, which has been condemned by the entire world and civilized society.
Speaking to the media, CM Yogi Adityanath said that on April 22, 2025, Shri Shubham Dwivedi of Kanpur Nagar was also martyred in an attack on tourists by terrorists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. He was the only son of his family and was married only two months ago. The Chief Minister informed that the body of late Shri Shubham Dwivedi has reached here in the night and now preparations are being made for the last rites.
CM Yogi Adityanath also said that this incident proves that terrorism is now breathing its last. Such a thing cannot happen in India. The Government of India’s zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism and extremism has helped eliminate terrorism in an effective manner. He also informed that decisions in this regard have been taken in the CCS under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
CM Yogi Adityanathalso informed that Home Minister Shri Amit Shah has visited the site of the incident in Pahalgam and the entire India stands united to end terrorism and militancy. “Terrorists will be punished for this heinous crime and the people of the country will see the consequences,” he said.
