CM YOGI : “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is moving on the path of progress and development. The double engine government (a joint government of the Centre and the state) has taken Uttar Pradesh forward as a developing state by freeing it from riots and mafia rule.
In Deoria, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 501 development projects worth Rs 676 crore. It includes schools, colleges, roads, health, and flood control schemes. A new government college (four-storied) was also started, where arts, commerce and science will be taught.
The Chief Minister distributed cheques, keys and certificates to several beneficiaries under schemes such as Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana, Yuva Udyami Yojana, Mahila Pension Yojana and Aajeevika Mission. Students were also felicitated.
He said that now Uttar Pradesh is being identified not by encephalitis or mafias, but by expressways, railways and development. A new greenfield expressway is proposed from Gorakhpur to Silchar, which will provide connectivity to Deoria to Delhi.
Schemes for the welfare of Musahar and Tharu tribes are being expanded. The target has been set to provide benefits of all government schemes to the poor, deprived, Dalits – houses, ration, pension, and Ayushman cards will be ensured for all.
Referring to the positive results of the mafia-free environment in Prayagraj, he said that now the girl students there are also topping the UPSC.
The Chief Minister said the killing of a youth by terrorists should be strongly condemned. The country has to stand united against terrorism. There is a need to rise above political interests and think in the national interest.
