Modify construction bylaws to support the hotel sector: Yogi
On Monday, Uttar Pradesh’s chief minister Yogi Adityanath stated that the state’s building bylaws needed to be changed in order to support the hotel sector.
According to an official spokeswoman, the chief minister stated at a high-level meeting that efforts to promote the state’s tourism potential had made Uttar Pradesh a popular travel destination while talking about the initiatives to improve the hotel industry.
According to him, the state currently draws the greatest number of domestic visitors in the nation.
The chief minister pointed out that the hotel business now has a lot of prospects because of this favorable development and the rising demand for more hotels. According to him, modifications to the construction bylaws are required to encourage this industry.
He suggested revising the minimum land requirements and minimum width of access roads for hotels in residential areas that have between six and twenty rooms.
Furthermore, certain guidelines need to be followed for important areas including parking, security, and fire safety.
He instructed officials to locate empty lots and finish any ongoing projects so they might be put to better use.
According to him, the state offers excellent prospects for the growth of the hotel sector.
Additionally, he instructed the officials of the housing development department to establish the Shahjahanpur Development Authority in order to plan the district’s growth.
The district’s industrial expansion has accelerated recently due to a number of infrastructural development projects in Shahjahanpur and the neighboring areas, as the population has grown concurrently, according to Adityanath.
Shahjahanpur was given the status of municipal corporation during the first term of the Yogi administration.
He stated that it is now necessary to establish the Shahjahanpur Development Authority in light of an existing regulated area and the recent preparation of the Master Plan-2031. He also added that, in order to prevent any inconvenience to the residents, it is imperative that, during the formation of the development authority, the inhabited land in the villages under its jurisdiction not be declared as green land.
Numerous government buildings located in different districts are either unoccupied or unfinished; it is important to locate, finish, and utilize these facilities. He also underlined how important it is to move the PM Jan Vikas Programme along quickly.
