A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy CM Diya Kumari in the auditorium of the Deputy Chief Minister’s Office at the Government Secretariat on Thursday regarding the conservation and restoration of the havelis of Shekhawati.
The Deputy Chief Minister gave instructions on the occasion that changes should also be made in the bylaws for the conservation and restoration of the havelis of Shekhawati.
Diya Kumari directed that 267 havelis have been identified in Jhunjhunu district, 268 havelis in Sikar district and 113 havelis in Churu district. A complete document should be prepared. He said that the collectors of Sikar, Jhunjhunu and Churu districts should prepare a final document by collecting all the facts of the actual ownership of the said havelis. Attached are photos of the current location. Along with this, the three district collectors should be vigilant so that there is no encroachment of any kind on these havelis.
The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary (Tourism) Rajesh Kumar Yadav, Additional Director of Tourism Anand Tripathi, Director of Archaeology and Museums Pankaj Dharendra and Joint Director of Tourism (Development) Rajesh Sharma. District Collectors of Jhunjhunu, Churu and Sikar also joined the meeting through video conferencing. Subject experts working in this field were also connected through video conferencing.
