Rural Patiala’s Dhangera village has received several new development facilities with projects worth approximately Rs 65 lakh being dedicated to the public. The projects focus on improving basic infrastructure and making essential facilities more accessible to villagers.
Dr Balbir Singh dedicated several completed works to the residents during a programme held in the village. The projects include the renovation of the village pond, pipeline work, installation of a solar motor and other facilities aimed at improving local infrastructure.
Modern Community Centre Dedicated to Villagers
A modern community centre built at a cost of around Rs 15 lakh was also dedicated to the people of Dhangera.
The centre has been developed to provide villagers with a convenient space for seating, social activities and other essential community-related requirements. The facility is expected to provide residents with a common place for organising social gatherings and community programmes.

Focus on Strengthening Village Infrastructure
The development works are aimed at addressing basic requirements in the village while improving the overall quality of local infrastructure. Facilities related to water management, pipelines and solar-powered equipment are expected to support the day-to-day needs of residents.
Dr Balbir Singh said that the Mann government is committed to the overall development of villages and continues to work towards strengthening basic amenities in rural areas.
He said development should reach villages and provide residents with better public facilities close to their homes. The projects completed in Dhangera are part of the continued focus on improving rural infrastructure and creating better community facilities.
With the completion of these projects, villagers will have access to upgraded basic amenities as well as a dedicated community centre for social and public activities. The initiative reflects the government’s emphasis on balanced development and stronger infrastructure in rural Punjab.
