Governor Haribhau Bagade on Friday visited the ancient Shaktipeeth Maa Tanot Rai located on the Indo-Pak border and prayed for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of the people of the state. He said that Tanot Mata Temple is a symbol of faith and valour, which remains the center of unwavering faith of the jawans who protect the country in adverse circumstances.
On this occasion, he was given a guard of honour by the Border Security Force (BSF) personnel at the Victory Pillar located in the Tanot Mata Temple Complex.Governor Haribhau Bagade paid tributes to the martyrs by placing wreaths at the Vijay Stambh. He was welcomed by Deputy Inspector General, Border Security Force (North) Yogendra Singh Rathore and presented a photograph of Tanot Mata.
Encouraging the soldiers
After this, Governor Haribhau Bagade reached Bawlianwala post on the international border, where he met the BSF jawans. Appreciating the courage and dedication of the soldiers deployed in adverse conditions, he said that it is due to the selfless service of these brave soldiers that the countrymen are able to stay safe.
Governor Haribhau Bagade interacted with the jawans and enquired about their well-being and said that they are experiencing new energy by coming among them. He offered fruits and sweets to the soldiers as a mark of respect.
Proud of the Border Security Force
Governor Haribhau Bagade said that the Border Security Force is the first line of defence of the country, which is ensuring the security of the borders while remaining alert in every situation. Appreciating the commitment of the soldiers, he said that the entire country is proud of these soldiers who are standing in difficult circumstances.
The meeting on internal security
The internal security coordination meeting was held at the Border Security Force auditorium in Tanot Mata Temple Complex under the chairmanship of Governor Haribhau Bagade. In the meeting, he stressed the need for development of roads, drinking water and other basic amenities in the border areas.
They discussed various security related issues like situation of Pak migrants, prevention of drug trafficking, crackdown on cyber crimes etc. He directed the officials to take concrete steps to curb the drug addiction among the youth and take strict action against the traffickers.
Interacting with the people of border villages
Governor Haribhau Bagade interacted with the villagers at the Government Higher Secondary School in the border village of Ranau and enquired about the status of water, electricity, medical and other facilities in the area. Reviewing the progress of the beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, he directed the officials to sanction houses to the eligible people at the earliest.
He also interacted with the students and enquired about their education and future plans.
