Punjab Cabinet Minister Harpal Singh Cheema highlighted key government achievements during the inauguration of the Sub-Divisional and Mother-Child Hospital in Dhuri. Free electricity, health cards, and women empowerment schemes were emphasized.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann today inaugurated a modern Sub-Divisional Hospital and Mother-Child Hospital in Dhuri. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Cabinet Minister Harpal Cheema, who highlighted the Punjab government’s key achievements over the past four years.
During the event, Harpal Cheema praised CM Bhagwant Mann’s administration for fulfilling five major promises:
Free electricity for households: Nearly 90% of homes now receive zero electricity bills.
Improved education: Government school children are receiving modern and quality education.
Health coverage: Citizens have been relieved of medical expenses through the ₹10 lakh health card scheme.
Support for martyrs’ families: Families of soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the nation are receiving ₹1 crore compensation.
Women empowerment benefits: Mothers and sisters now receive financial support of ₹1,000–1,500.

Harpal Cheema emphasized that the new Sub-Divisional Hospital and Mother-Child Hospital in Dhuri will serve as a primary healthcare hub for over 58,000 urban residents and 70 surrounding villages. The hospital offers maternal and child care, free tests, surgeries, and emergency services, all under one roof.
CM Bhagwant Mann stated that his government’s main goal is to provide better health, education, and social welfare services to every citizen of Punjab. He assured that the administration will continue to improve healthcare and educational facilities across the state.
