Jaipur launches AI Kisan Kranti to empower farmers with smart technology. CM Bhajanlal Sharma and Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh highlight increased farmer income, real-time solutions, and AI-driven growth.
The AI Kisan Kranti initiative was launched in Jaipur, marking a transformative step for farmers in Rajasthan. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma and Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh inaugurated the AI Hackathon aimed at empowering farmers with smart technology and real-time solutions.
During the launch, CM Bhajanlal Sharma expressed his gratitude to all dignitaries present and specifically thanked Union Minister Shivraj Singh for understanding the challenges faced by farmers and addressing their concerns. He stated that the initiative would bring prosperity to farmers’ lives, ensuring they can fully utilize AI tools via mobile platforms. “This is not just technology; it is a revolutionary change. Our farmers will become self-reliant, and their incomes will increase,” he added.
AI-Powered Solutions for Farmers
The AI Kisan Kranti platform, also known as Bharat Vistaar, aims to provide 24/7 smart information to farmers on weather, mandi rates, pest control, soil conditions, crop advice, and central government schemes. The initiative is designed to connect farmers with digital technology, making them better informed and prepared for modern agricultural practices. The program also complements the PM Fasal Bima Yojana, offering additional insurance benefits to farmers across the state.
Currently, 22 districts in Rajasthan are receiving day-time electricity for agricultural use, enabling better irrigation and farm operations. The platform provides information in 11 languages, making it accessible to a diverse group of farmers. CM Sharma emphasized that a technologically skilled farmer is key to a prosperous India, highlighting that farmers are the backbone of the nation.
Developed Farmers for a Developed India
CM Bhajanlal Sharma noted Rajasthan’s leadership in the production of crops like bajra, mustard, isabgol, and cumin. Over 1.4 million livestock have been insured under government schemes. The Chief Minister expressed confidence that AI-driven solutions would significantly benefit the state’s farmers and contribute to the vision of a “Developed India by 2047.”
This initiative, according to CM Sharma, is expected to strengthen the agricultural ecosystem, enhance productivity, and empower farmers with digital knowledge, ensuring sustainable growth and increased income for rural communities.
