Martyr’s Day 2024: Martyr’s Day, also known as Shaheed Diwas, is observed on January 30 of each year to remember Mahatma Gandhi. 1948 saw him slain in the Birla House premises in New Delhi by Nathuram Godse following one of his regular multifaith prayer gatherings. It is reported that Gandhi said “Hey Ram” as his final words.
