Minister Vishwas Kailash : PACS in every Panchayat, employment for all, and well-organized cooperative movement are our goals
Cooperatives Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang has said that our goal is PACS in every Panchayat, employment for all, and a well-organized cooperative movement. To take cooperatives forward, it will have to be expanded at the Panchayat level. We aim to make the country prosperous by assimilating every basic idea of cooperatives. The concept of multi-purpose PACS has been formed so that employment is generated in every Panchayat through PACS.
Minister Vishwas Kailash was addressing a state-level seminar on “Sahkar se Samriddhi” organized at Samanvay Bhavan in Bhopal on Wednesday. Before the programme, Union Cooperative Minister Mr. Amit Shah inaugurated 10,000 newly formed multipurpose PACS, dairy and fisheries cooperative societies in New Delhi. Officials of the cooperative department of all the states participated virtually in the programme.
Family is an excellent example of a cooperative
Minister Vishwas Kailash said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, radical changes have taken place in the country. For a prosperous nation, society needs to be connected and there is only one project to connect society i.e. cooperatives. A society is built through cooperatives. Cooperative is the name of achieving the goal with everyone’s participation. Family is an excellent example of cooperative. Nothing can happen without cooperative even in everyday life. Everyone’s participation is important.
Employment should be generated through PACS
Minister Vishwas Kailash said that participation and equality can bring good results. To strengthen the cooperative movement, all sections will have to join. He said that under the guidance of Union Cooperative Minister Shri Amit Shah, everyone’s participation should be ensured in achieving the target of PACS in every Panchayat. Employment should be generated through PACS and members should get benefits. He said that PACS should not be confined to animal husbandry, fisheries, and loan distribution, PACS should also run petrol pumps and gas agencies, and those who have space should also construct marriage halls and marriage gardens, this will strengthen PACS.
Cooperative movement with values
Minister Vishwas Kailash aid that there is a need to take a resolution that there should be PACS in every Panchayat by next year. He said that our slogan is that there is no salvation without cooperative and there is no cooperative without values. Everyone’s cooperation is necessary in the goal of establishing a cooperative movement with values in Madhya Pradesh.
Targets should be set through cooperative discussion
Minister Vishwas Kailash said that Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav also aims to employ every household by creating jobs. PACS will play an important role in this. Through young colleagues, we will ensure that PACS becomes multi-purpose. He said that we will communicate with everyone from top to bottom through cooperative discussion and set targets for the next years.
Prepare excellent officers
Minister Vishwas Kailash said that those who do excellent work are always respected. That is why in today’s programme also, those who did excellent work were honoured. He told the senior officers to prepare the juniors to do excellent work, so that they can be more successful when they reach the category of seniors.
Possibilities are endless, need to be explored
Additional Chief Secretary Cooperatives Shri Ashok Barnwal said that possibilities are endless and need to be explored. PACS will have to work towards increasing business and benefiting the beneficiaries. For this, cooperative institutions also need to do business among themselves.

Minister Vishwas Kailash released a book focused on standard operating procedures for strengthening cooperative banks, a booklet focused on legal process and simplified solutions and a brochure focused on important activities under the Sahakar se Samriddhi programme.
Honour
In the programme, Manager of Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society Nahargarh (Mandsaur), which has been fully computerized and works on CBS, Shri Pawan Jain, Computer Operator Shri Suraj Vishwakarma, Manager of Manasa (Dhar), Shri Radheshyam Yadav, Computer Operator Shri Sunil Yadav, Manager of Sonkachh (Dewas), Shri Santosh Shukla, Computer Operator Shri Devendra Singh and Branch Managers who distributed maximum loans by doing excellent work in the special loan festival organized by Apex Bank from 6 October to 10 December in the entire state, Shri Sunil Singhal, Bharatpur Branch (Ujjain), Shri Shailendra Rawat, Freegunj (Ujjain) and Shri Ashok Chandel, T.T. Nagar (Bhopal) were also awarded. Notably, during this period, Apex Bank distributed loans worth Rs 50.13 crore against the set target of Rs 50 crore in the entire state.
Commissioner Cooperative and Registrar Cooperative Societies Shri Manoj Pushp, Managing Director Markfed Shri Alok Kumar Singh, Deputy Secretary Shri Manoj Sinha, General Manager NABARD Shri Qamar Javed, Additional Commissioner Shri B.S. Shukla along with Managing Directors of top cooperative institutions, officers and employees of all cooperative institutions/banks were present at the programme. The programme was conducted by Shri Arvind Bodh and Managing Director Apex Bank Shri Manoj Gupta proposed the vote of thanks.
